Our story

Founded with a little Viking spirit

Attensi employees at Forskningsparken in Oslo

Attensi started in Oslo in 2009 with a simple belief: people learn best by doing. Rather than more slides and e-learning, we set out to give employees a safe place to practice the real situations they face at work – to try, make mistakes and try again until they get it right.

We brought together people from modern game design, psychology and learning and development to make that happen. The result is training people actually want to come back to, and skills that show up on the job.

Today, that idea powers training for some of the world's best-known brands across retail, hospitality, pharmaceuticals, energy, financial services and healthcare – for frontline teams and knowledge workers alike.

A message from our CEO

Why we do what we do

Hear from Trond Aas, Co-Founder and CEO, on what drives Attensi and the people who make it happen.

Our approach

Practice makes performance.

Everything we build is designed around one outcome: people who are ready to perform, not just trained.

Practice

Learn by doing

Realistic simulations of the situations employees face every day, so they can build skills in a safe space before it counts.

Engage

Motivation that lasts

Game mechanics that make people want to come back, driving the voluntary repetition that turns knowledge into instinct.

Learn

Grounded in learning science

Designed with psychologists and learning experts, using proven principles like repetition, feedback and practice under realistic conditions.

Scale

Powered by AI

AI helps create training faster, personalize practice to each learner and power realistic role-play conversations.

Include

Built for every workforce

From frontline teams to knowledge workers – on any device and in more than 50 languages.

Measure

Impact you can prove

Insights and analytics that go beyond completion rates to show where skills are strong, where gaps remain and how training moves business results.

Our people

Technology, game design, psychology and L&D under one roof

Two people laughing while looking at a laptop in an office.

Our teams combine game designers, developers, 3D artists, psychologists, learning designers, commercial talent and AI specialists with deep industry expertise. It's an unusual mix – and it's what lets us build training that is both engaging and effective.

We work closely with our customers to understand their people, their operations and what great performance looks like – then build training that gets them there.
